Marc Selph is a Certified Professional Inspector through InterNACHI (Member ID 20030512) with a genuine love for this line of work. He’s not chasing volume; he’s building relationships with the buyers, sellers, and agents who trust him with one of the biggest decisions of their lives. When you hire Marc, you’re not getting a stranger with a checklist. You’re getting a neighbor who takes the job seriously.
Whether you’re a first-time buyer nervous about what’s hiding behind the drywall, a seller trying to get ahead of surprises, or a homeowner who just wants peace of mind, SelphGuard Home Inspections is here for you. Marc Selph, a lifelong Jacksonville resident, built this company around one idea: home inspections should leave you with answers, not more questions. We serve Jacksonville and the rest of Northeast Florida with a level of care and communication that’s hard to find anywhere else.
Foundation, framing, grading, drainage, and roof coverings, all checked for wear, damage, or signs of past repair work.

Water heaters, supply lines, drains, and heating and cooling equipment are tested to see how they're actually performing, not just how they look.
At SelphGuard, we know your time and confidence matter. That’s why every inspection includes a same-day digital report with detailed photos, clear explanations and a digital format that’s easy to read whether you’re at your desk or on the go.
Every home inspection includes a non-invasive infrared (thermal imaging) scan at no additional cost. Infrared technology helps identify temperature differences that may indicate hidden issues such as moisture intrusion, insulation deficiencies, air leaks, electrical hot spots, and HVAC performance concerns. While thermal imaging cannot see through walls or diagnose every problem, it provides an additional layer of evaluation that helps uncover conditions that may not be visible during a standard visual inspection.
